Forbes Sheep Sale

Forbes agents penned a total of 27681 comprising of 22415 lambs and 5266 grown sheep. All the usual buyers were in attendance including additional support from Victorian processors in a much dearer market. Trade weights were $10 t$15 dearer and heavy lamb prices improved by $5 and more in places. The best of the trade weights averaged 890c a kilo D/W and heavy lambs and extra heavies 820c. Grown sheep were also much dearer, this week gaining another $25 compared to last week’s sale. Heavy sheep averaged 560/580c and trade weights 480/500c a kilo D/W.
